What People Say

Most Liked

One of the standout features at RC's Kitchen is the phenomenal Oxtail Dinner available every Sunday. Many patrons rave about its rich, savory flavor that makes the trip worth every mile. The hot wings come highly recommended, praised for their crispy texture and spicy kick, making them a perfect start to a meal. Customers also love the generous portions, with many stating that they often take leftovers home after filling their bellies with comfort food.

Desserts, particularly the banana pudding and key lime cake, are must-tries. Diners often reflect on how these sweet treats evoke nostalgia and leave a lasting impression. Friendly service and a casual atmosphere contribute to a warm experience, welcoming groups, families, and solo diners alike. Many leave with happy hearts, looking forward to their next visit.

Most Disliked

Some customers mention that wait times can extend during peak hours, particularly on Sundays, which might deter those looking for a quick bite. While the ambiance is generally described as casual, a few visitors have noted that the restaurant can feel crowded during busy lunch and dinner periods.

Others have commented on the simplicity of the decor, saying it could use an update for a more comfortable dining experience. Additionally, parking can be limited during the busiest times, making it a challenge for newcomers trying to find a spot. While the food typically receives high praise, some diners have specific preferences that aren't always met, such as the desire for more variety in vegetable sides.

Definitely worth the long drive from the south end!!! The banana pudding is off da chain! I don’t like anybody meatloaf until now… this place reminds me of big momma cooking, smothered pork chops and turkey wings, with greens and cornbread. The best part they are The Only Soul food place open 7days including sundays🤩🤩🤩

When I tell you this food was phenomenal. It was worth the wait. Cube steak was cooked to perfection. Tender and tasty, well seasoned. As well as Turkey Wings, mac-n-cheese, and broccoli cheese casserole. Employees were nice and generous with portions and despite the wait, everything was lovely!!! Highly recommend!!!

Incredible ribs. Fall off the bone and perfectly flavored. They didn’t even need BBQ sauce (but were amazing with it!!). The collards and Lima beans were also perfectly flavored. My new go to soul food spot. Don’t let the abandoned looming shopping strip fool you, this place throws down

Took my mother to get liver and onions (only offered on Wednesday) and she loved it. She said she would go back again so that is a win cause she is very particular about her food. She would give the key lime cake a 10/10.

Why I have to drive 45 mins to get real soul food 😩 , but it was so good I will everytime ! There was nothing I can complain about or change , portion size good , food taste /quality good . Service friendly and welcoming I'm a new supporter lol won't be but once a month or so because I stay in conyers but definitely recommend I rarely ever fully give 5 stars and I eat out two to three times a month because I am a foodie review everything there are no complaints from me ! I had smothered pork chops , over some of the best dressing I've had in awhile , mac and cheese , turnip greens and broccoli and cheese casserole

The line is wrapped around the room for a reason (as pictured). When I tell you this food is great, that's an understatement! Everything we ordered was so good. We purposely ordered different items so we could get a good variety. And OMG the food is sinfully good! Must try! Worth the wait on a Sunday 🙌🏽

The food and service were great! The food was delicious. Ordered catfish, yams, mac n cheese & peach cobbler. The food was fresh and the catfish was cooked to order. The portions were a good size and the prices were reasonable. It was very packed but I definitely understand why. Plenty of free parking. Will definitely be back!
